Birthing Classes

Becoming a parent – for the first time or the fifth time – is both exciting and overwhelming. Thankfully, you’re not alone as you navigate parenthood. Find the support and encouragement you need before, during and after pregnancy through childbirth education classes.

If you are planning to give birth at home or in the hospital, being prepared and educated has been shown to reduce fear and anxiety while increasing confidence in expectant mothers. Furthermore, studies have revealed, that this leads to a more better birth outcome (less C-sections, inductions etc.). American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology (AJOG)

All my private birthing classes can be individually designed for each couple and topics will vary a little bit depending on if you are planning a home or hospital birth.

You can book a birthing class even if you are not a client of mine

The class will take place in my office, or via zoom. If it is more convenient for you and your partner, we can also meet at your home, an extra fee for driving will be charged depending on your location.

A big advantage of a private, in person class is the possibility of me showing you and your partner a variety of hands-on skills. For example: massage techniques for pain relief, birthing positions, baby wearing options and many more things.

What to expect, things we will talk about?

  • Pregnancy - Body changes as your pregnancy progresses. How to take care for yourself and your baby during pregnancy. Insights on how to have a healthy pregnancy, which ties into preparing for safe and smooth delivery.
