Placenta encapsulations is the practice of ingesting the placenta after it has been dehydrated, grounded, and placed into pills. In traditional medicine, placenta pills are consumed and believed to impart numerous health benefits.
While there is little evidence-based information available, there is a large body of emerging evidence on the relationship between placenta encapsulation and postpartum health. Holistic and traditional medical customs embrace several potential advantages to placental encapsulation.

For home birth clients of Hands to Heart Midwifery: Pick-up and delivery is free
For hospital clients:

Drop off placenta at my office in Parker (make sure to bring it within 24 hours after birth. Placenta has to be refrigerated)
